The first floor has a king bedroom. Upstairs, one bedroom has a queen bed and another has two twin beds. The cabin has two bathrooms. In the two-story cabins (Farm, West Jefferson and Nature), upstairs windows have alarms that sound if a child opens a window. The property has steep grades and hot tubs, so adult supervision is required.

A cabin that tells the town's story
West Jefferson began with the railroad. When the Virginia-Carolina Railroad reached the valley between Mount Jefferson and Paddy Mountain, a depot went up, a town grew around the tracks, and West Jefferson was chartered in 1915. The West Jefferson A-Frame Cabin at 19 High Drive carries that beginning through every room with vintage photographs, railroad details, and a palette of historic black, aged brass, cognac leather, and brick red.
Six guests, three bedrooms
The cabin sleeps up to 6. The first-floor king bedroom is a quiet retreat, with a rear entrance onto a small deck and the lighted trails that link all four A-frames. Upstairs, the twin room's wide window looks down over the property and toward town, and the queen bedroom sits under the A-frame peak. There are two full bathrooms, one on each floor.
Evenings on the porch
Your front porch has seating, your own grill, and a private XL deluxe hot tub, looking toward the town that grew up around a railroad stop. A free EV charger is on-site. After dinner, walk the string-lit paths to the covered pavilion and shared gas-fueled stone fire pit, which look out over downtown West Jefferson and Paddy Mountain, with the large shared BBQ, waterfall seating, swing chairs, and picnic benches nearby.
Walk into the history
Once you're there, look for the town's outdoor murals along Jefferson Avenue and stop at Ashe County Cheese, North Carolina's oldest working cheese factory (est. 1930).
Every A-frame also includes the shared grounds: the gas-fueled stone fire pit, covered pavilion, large BBQ, waterfall seating, swing chairs, picnic benches, and lighted trails.

Before you arrive
House rules
- Check-in 4:00 PM / checkout 11:00 AM.
- Self check-in with a smart lock; the door code and check-in details are emailed 2 days before arrival.
- Maximum occupancy is 6 guests.
- One well-behaved dog is welcome per cabin, with a $75 dog fee for each cabin that has a dog.
- A cleaning fee applies per stay. The amount is shown in the quote at checkout.
- Smoking is allowed outdoors with no fee. No smoking or vaping indoors. Indoor smoking is a $1,000 fee.
- Hot tub: shower before use; no glass; replace the cover; no solo or intoxicated use; supervise children. A $50 hot tub maintenance fee applies only if misuse requires us to fully drain and refill the tub. It is not a booking fee.
- Quiet hours 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. There is no set gathering limit for the shared common area. Large parties must get approval from Harmonious Abodes before bringing outside guests.
Arrival

Cancellation
100% refund if you cancel 14 or more days before arrival. 50% refund if you cancel at least 7 but fewer than 14 days before arrival. No refund inside 7 days.
